鳳潭對中國華嚴思想的批判及其理論意義

【摘要】 中國的華嚴宗和天臺宗是中國佛教諸宗派中最具哲理性的宗派,對中國佛教思想性格的形成影響至深。鳳潭通過對中國華嚴宗思想特別是對澄觀和宗密的華嚴思想的批判,試圖會通華嚴思想和天臺思想。雖然鳳潭對澄觀和宗密的批判有失偏頗,但他敏銳地指出了中國華嚴宗的思想基礎由"法性本空"向"真心緣起"的轉變,并指出了法藏的華嚴思想與智者大師的天臺思想有相通之處。這對我們準確把握中國華嚴思想與天臺思想的理論特質不無幫助。

【Abstract】 Chinese Huayan and Tiantai Buddhist School are the most philosophical schools of Chinese Buddhist Schools,which had a great influence on the character of Chinese Buddhism.Through the criticism of Huayan Buddhist School,especially of the thought of Chengguan and Zongmi,Fengtan attempted to harmonize differences in teachings of Huayan and Tiantai Buddhist School.There are some biased comments on Chengguan and Zongmi,Fengtan observantly pointed out the transformation from "Emptiness of Dharma-nature" to "Dependent Origination of True Mind" of the ideological foundation of Chinese Huayan Buddhist School.Fengtan also marked that there are some connections between Fazang’ Huayan thought and Zhiyi’s Tiantai thought.All of these will be helpful to correctly understand the theoretical characteristics of Chinese Huayan Buddhist School and Tiantai Buddhist School.
